Helicopters-MI provides a range of services to upgrade Mi-8, Mi-8MTV, Mi-8AMT helicopters and their modifications:

• installation of external additional fuel tanks VDB.6130.000
• installation of SAP.4011.000 emergency drive systems

The application of VDB.6130.000 allows to increase the helicopter operation time by 5.5-6.1 flight hours (1 020-1 070 km).

The equipment of the VDTB helicopters does not interfere with their operation in any climatic conditions within the whole range of operating temperatures.

For helicopters with increased fuel tanks and VDTB fuel reserve is 3337 kg.

The set of works on a “turnkey” basis includes:

• delivery of VDTB and SAP directly from the manufacturing plant
• installation of VDTB and SAP at both the base in Kazan and at the location of the helicopter (at the customer’s request)
• Customized VDTB painting
• approval process

The tank system does not block the emergency hatches of the aircraft, as well as do not prevent passengers from leaving the aircraft by squeezing out the blisters (windows) if necessary, which makes these tanks are indispensable in all versions of passenger version of the Mi-8, Mi-8MTV, Mi-8AMT helicopters and their modifications.

Tanks VDB.6130.200 differ simplicity of operation, and also insignificance of time (~ 3h.) of installation (disassembly) of tanks on the modified helicopter for installation VDB.6130.000 .

Tanks are installed on both sides of the central part of the aircraft fuselage, above the level of blisters (windows) of the aircraft. The installed tanks do not interfere with the aircraft passengers’ view through all aircraft blisters (windows), which makes them preferable for passenger, search and rescue, transport, VIP, medical, patrol and other purposes.

Upgrading of the aircraft for installation of VDB.6130.000 in operation takes 5 working days by a team of 5 people and does not require a specially equipped production base.

Longer range is a prerequisite for participation in tenders for UN programmes around the world (as a requirement for an aircraft that needs to travel long distances without landing).
